About Me:
I have been teaching for 12 years, in 2 countries, 4 states, 3 different programming options, and multiple grade-levels from birth to adult, and finally landing in Colorado where I live in the mountains near Nederland, and work in Jeffco schools. Here at Vivian I teach a Total Communication (whatever communication strategy will be most successful for individual students, with an elevated focus on sign language (Conceptually Accurate Signed English, C.A.S.E), spoken English) classroom of students who are deaf/hard of hearing, non-verbal and cognitively impaired, and/or otherwise in need of intensive language instruction and development. We are one of very few programs in the state, even fewer in the country. I have been teaching this unique program at Vivian Elementary for seven years.

Outside of work I love to travel ( I have traveled to 12 far, visited all 50 states, and hitch-hiked through 12 of far!). I also enjoy cooking and baking, hiking, camping, art, reading, and a good cup of tea.

I love to read and have A LOT of favorite books!
